Studio media and continuation errors
Understand stopped projects, reference-file errors, and how to continue from saved work.
“Two automatic continuations produced no new media or review progress”
The director tried to continue your current request, but its last two attempts did not add usable media or new review evidence. It stopped to prevent an unproductive loop. Your project and completed assets remain saved.
This message describes the stop, not its underlying cause. Read the latest project message for the blocking step. It can be a reference that needs preparation, an unresolved provider job, or a review that needs a concrete decision. It does not by itself mean that your upload is damaged or that a provider is offline.
Continue after the blocking step is resolved. Repeating Continue with unchanged inputs may reach the same stop. You do not need to delete the project or start over. Later generation follows the project's spending settings.
A video can be viewed, but reference frames cannot be extracted
A valid uploaded video may need its duration and dimensions prepared before frames can be used as character or scene references. Studio measures these properties when it first uses the asset, including older saved uploads. This preparation preserves the original file and does not buy replacement media.
If you previously saw “Time must be before the end of the clip” even at the start of a playable video, continue the saved project after the repair is available. Re-uploading the same video is usually unnecessary.
If preparation still cannot read the file, try playing it in a video player. Export a playable MP4 if necessary, or supply clear still images showing the approved characters and setting. Reference screenshots can also provide a temporary path forward while support investigates extraction.
Other blocking steps
| What the project reports | What to do |
|---|---|
| A submitted provider job is still waiting or its result is unknown | Keep the project and original job. Check again later; avoid submitting duplicate generation. |
| A reference image is needed to preserve an approved character | Attach a clear image from the approved source, then continue the same project. |
| A specific asset failed review | Follow the stated issue or requested decision. An uncertain review alone does not prove the asset is defective. |
| More information or a spending decision is requested | Answer the pending project question, then continue if requested. |
Contact support with the saved project
If the same step fails again, send support the project URL, exact error, and what you were trying to do. Mention whether the source plays normally and whether the failure happens at the first frame. Keep the existing project so support can investigate its saved assets and execution history.
